The Anchor Golf Society wanted to be able to collaborate on the content creation and update of the website. We created a new site, using the Drupal Content Management System with a style similar to the original site. We have focussed on managing the content rather than the look and feel.

We used custom content types for: Course, Player, Competition, Results, etc..

Each paid up member of the Society have their own username so they can change their own player profile. 

The site is capable of sending a Newsletter email to members.

We will soon be able to remind each player of their previous successes: Winner or Runner up. We try not to dwell on our failures.

The data from the original (static) site is still being migrated. Most of the custom code that was used to reduce the amount of manual effort involved in maintaining the competitions, player lists, results, menus, etc.. is no longer required as Drupal contributed modules are used to provide the functionality.

Custom code will still be needed to allow each member to indicate whether or not they will play in a particular tournament, and to allow analysis of tee time groupings.

When all of the data from the original site has been migrated then it we be parked on the new site and requests will be redirected to the SEO improved version.
