This post is the first blog item on the newly cloned version of the [bw] web development website.
You will therefore be able to find it on www.[bw].com but not on
...although that could change in the very near future
What's happening?
Over time these sites will move apart.
The main site www.[bw].com will be [bw]'s online shop, offering you our latest and greatest suite of products and services.
The [bw] web development site will revert to its original objectives - discussing web development - especially of Drupal or WordPress based websites. This is where I'll hide out and do the techno-babble... when I have the time.
Where's the original [bw].com?
The original [bw] site, with the FREE initial consultation form that doesn't have a CAPTCHA field, and the original 'slightly less in your face' fading backgrounds for sidebar blocks has been archived to www.[bw]pcsupport.co.uk (done on 7th December).
This "static" site served its purpose originally, but could not keep up with the necessary changes to truly join in/stay with with the web2.0 world.
What are these new twenty-tens (2010's) sites?
There are two new [bw] sites laying out our wares. We now offer one-page wonder websites implemented in WordPress. Hence the WoW acronym/mnemonic.
The twenty-tens domain name reflects two ideas
- websites that are designed for the 2010's decade
- websites that are designed , developed and deployed for 20 x 10 pounds
These sites will be 'state of the art' examples of WordPress one-page Wonder websites. As the base set of plugins expands to fill the most popular requirements so they will both demonstrate them and give pointers to notes about their implementation. So if you get a [bw] WoW site you should be able to extend it as and when you want to.
