Wine and Sign
This was a static website that relied heavily on tables and images.
It also had a timed landing page.
Although there were two domain names, the .co.uk did not go anywhere.
Deal with Stress ( to Aug 2010)
This is a screen capture of the Deal With Stress website as it was up to Jul/Aug 2010.
There were 15 pages selectable from a menu in the left hand column.
Some of the pages, such as training, had other links. Giving about 20 static pages in all.
David Page Engineering (pre Aug 2010)
This website had a simple menu with five pages. There was very little content, except for the gallery of images. There were no words to describe any of the images. The site was clearly still "under construction.... and appeared to have been like that for some time".
It has now been replaced with Bobbing Wide solution.
31 stylesheets problem (KB262161) - STILL NOT FIXED in IE9
There was a known problem with Internet Explorer that it will only handle 31 style sheets.Above that it simply discards the styling information. And that really effs up a Drupal based site that doesn't have 'Optimize CSS files' set to enabled. AND the problem is still there in Internet Explorer version 9. I do not believe it!
Oops - I ran out of bandwidth
Some time last night my main website ran out of bandwidth. This time it wasn't planned. So this morning I have upped the figure. And the website has been restored.
More problems with Drupal optimised style sheets
Some time ago I experienced the well documented but little known (does that make sense) problem whereby IE can't handle more than 31 style sheets. Since I don't often use IE that's not much of a problem for me. But that's not really the point is it? The Drupal workaround is to optimize the style sheets. It does this by combining the sheets into one big file and serving that from a different CSS directory ( sites/default/files/css ).
I just re-enabled optimisation and noticed I've got a couple of new problems to solve.
What's happened to my Drupal Administration menu (6.x-1.6)
Earlier today I wrote about my problems with the dev version of the Drupal Administration menu
What's happened to my Drupal Administration menu (6.x-3.x-dev)?
Now I've discovered a problem with 6.x-1.6 as well.
What's happened to my Drupal Administration menu (6.x-3.x-dev)?
My Drupal Administration menu has gone awry.
It now looks like this.

So what's gone wrong?
Spam spam wonderful spam
On my Bobbing Wide web design blog I allow comments, but they need to be approved first. In time I will implement tools to ensure that I don't have to deal with these comments ever again... and will of course offer this service to my customers. In the mean time here are examples of comments which I will not be approving.
